The Look
Outsite Playa has an incredibly distinct aesthetic.
Surrounded by Tulum jungle, the beach house faces the glittering Caribbean Sea, boasting gorgeous views from the many terraces dotted across the property – though, the rooftop pool is where you’ll get the best views (and atmosphere).
Inside it’s a minimalistic space with a boho feel, so expect plenty of rattan texture, natural materials, and beachy vibes throughout the property.
Rooms come fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay, including cozy beds and tasteful decor – though rooms can get a little bit dark at times, so bear this in mind if you’re going to spend hours holed up inside throughout the day.
The rooftop spot is small-but-perfectly-formed with a pool and Tulum-style swings overlooking the skyline, while the shared kitchen is stocked with essential cooking supplies so you can rustle up something delicious (or, head out to one of Tulum’s brilliant restaurants).
The Co-Working Space
Let’s talk about the co-working space – a crucial aspect of the Outsite experience if you’re a digital nomad in Tulum.
There’s one main room packed with a large oak table and plenty of space to spread out.
If we’re totally honest, it’s not the most inspiring place to work in Tulum, but it’s perfect if you need to answer a few work emails or take part in meetings during your trip.
We’ll level with you, the wifi at Outsite Playa can be very tetchy – not ideal if you need to connect to an important business meeting completely uninterrupted. However, we have heard that the wifi at Outsite’s Centro location is significantly better, so that’s something to think about if you’re going to be working while you’re on the move.
